Apple Inc. (AAPL) released a study Friday saying that the ecosystem associated with its devices has created 514,000 U.S. jobs, in the wake of criticism about the company’s manufacturing and supply chains.
The study, which included information by the firm Analysis Group, said Apple has directly or indirectly created 304,000 jobs in the U.S. The Cupertino, Calif., gadget giant said the jobs have been created at companies ranging from manufacturers making processors for Apple’s popular mobile devices to United Parcel Service Inc. (UPS) and FedEx Corp. (FDX) employees who deliver hardware to customers.
